Breathtaking mountain scenery and great snow conditions make Canaan Valley, West Virginia your perfect winter getaway.
Two beautiful resorts just minutes apart…Canaan Valley Resort and Timberline Resort. The resorts offer a combined 69 slopes and trails, six lifts, and excellent snow making capabilities. The vertical drop ranges from 850 feet at Canaan Valley Resort up to 1,000 feet at Timberline. Timberline Resort is known for its two mile beginner slope “Salamander”. The Canaan Valley area is blessed with an average annual snowfall of over 160 inches. The trails at both resorts are divided almost equally between beginner, intermediate and expert trails, providing skiers of all abilities challenging slopes to match their skill level. With night skiing available at both ski areas…“Skiing in Canaan Valley is just plain fun”!
